Variety SA
| Variety SA is an ‘umbrella’ children’s charity. It is a professionally run, international organisation dedicated to inspiring hope and enriching the lives of children in need under the age of 18. 95% of all money raised in South Australia is allocated to SA projects. Variety helps all children; both directly and through numerous other service providers. Absolutely ANYONE can apply for funds, from an individual to an already widely know charity like Canteen or Novita and major facilities like Flinders Medical Centre and Women’s and Children’s Hospital. |
| Variety is a credible and accountable organisation. The appeals committee comprises 4 doctors, an education expert and business people who investigate the requests for funding. We ask for quotes for requested equipment or services and once approved we only pay on invoice from the supplier. Variety very rarely gives cash. A summary of grants is published and distributed widely each and every year!! |
| Variety South Australia has in excess of 15 volunteer committees - mostly business people who give generously of their time. They are successful people in their own right donating their talent and time. Variety puts the FUN back into fundraising with business networking opportunities and fabulous events! |
| The modern purpose built premises encompass office and meeting accommodation for staff and volunteers, warehousing and entertainment facilities. It is an investment in the future success of Variety and the special children of South Australia. The property was constructed in 2005 via a separate Capital Campaign with generous donations of building materials, building expertise and labor. |
