Variety at Work Program, professionals donating time to assist kids

Variety@Work - Hands on with special kids

In SA Variety@Work is run by a dedicated group of women - Ladies of Variety (LOV)

Variety @ work xmas party - alonside text 185 x 285 1.jpgEach year, the Variety@Work teams nationally take tens of thousands of sick, disadvantaged and special needs children to some wonderful, entertaining and educational experiences. Variety@Work  offers children an opportunity to be a part of activities and events that due to disability or financial hardship they otherwise would not be able to experience. Variety@Work projects include camps, sailing days, invitations to events like Circus Oz, AFL football and the Variety Children’s Christmas Party– just about anything that they’ll enjoy! Sometimes these activities will involve the child’s parents, siblings and carers - giving the entire family rare and much needed opportunities to experience what most families take for granted. Tickets are arranged due to the generosity of local companies and volunteers and worthy groups of kids are identified through various hospitals, care agencies and charities.

And guys, you don’t have to don a dress to join in when it comes to lending a hand at the special events for the kids. To see the happiness on the faces of children on a LOV outing is an experience that you’ll never forget. We are proud to bring so much joy to so many kids. Should you be able to assist us in identifying other exciting places for the children to visit, we would be delighted to hear from you.
