Past Events
Off The Kuff presented by KPMG - cheese and wine night
KPMG hosted an intimate seated wine and cheese tasting for 2008's final Off The Kuff networking session. Yalumba winemaker Jane Ferrari and Ballycroft cheese maker Sue Evans were invited to speak about their passions: wine and cheese, while guests sampled their wonderful tastings on offer.
Sue spoke about Ballycroft; a partnership with her sister Tracey Skepper, providing a wonderful insight into the cheese world. The small business opened in 2002 with an holistic approach in Greenock in the Barossa region. Ballycroft’s environmentally friendly facility ensures their products contain no chemicals or preservatives and all biological waste is reused.
Yalumba winemaker Jane Ferrari spoke about Australia’s oldest family-owned winery. She spoke about Yalumba’s history, her time as a winemaker and now as a Wine Marketer, travelling the world. Jane shared her outstanding product knowledge on wine and married up each cheese with six wines of Yalumba’s wonderful wines.
Off The Kuff featuring Raelene Boyle
In July ,100 people were given an off the kuff insight to what being an Australian Olympic legend and living national treasure is like when Raelene Boyle presented at the Variety Off The Kuff Networking function hosted by Partner NAB. Raelene is one of Australia’s greatest track and field athletes and she entertained the audience with her stories and also shared the adversity she faced when diagnosed with cancer.
Off The Kuff featuring the Hon Alexander Downer
Canon hosted a fantastic sold out event on May 21 at the Stamford Plaza Adelaide. Guest speaker the Hon. Alexander Downer provided a thoroughly entertaining account of his time as the foreign Minister, leaving the heavy stuff behind and reminiscing about people and places that he encountered on his journey. His insight into the future of Australian politics, international relations and current global issues certainly left the room thinking about if our priorities lie in solving global warming or obtaining cheap petrol.
Off The Kuff is Variety SA’s exclusive invitation only networking opportunity for South Australia’s business leaders and is presented by our partners KPMG, Minter Ellison Lawyers, National Australia Bank and Canon.
